MyRyde.app helps the communities our dryvers serve, MyRyde.app partners with the non-profit Provyde A Ryde 501(c)(3) to make charity rideshare services available to families receiving medicaid and / or SNAP!. Provyde A Ryde 501(c)(3) receives funding from federal & state grants, local business fundraising and donations from family and friends of our beneficiaries and provydes the payment of qualified charitable rydes on MyRyde.app
On provide-a-ryde.org donors can make tax deductible contributions to both our Community Fund used for any beneficiary to use towards qualified charitable rydes and / or to a Donor’s Choice Fund to be used exclusively for the specific beneficiary named by the donor. To match the charitable contributions of Provyde A Ryde 501(c)(3) donors, MyRyde.app donates 5% of all rydes purchased by self-pay customers to the Community Fund.
The process of scheduling and taking charitable rydes on MyRyde.app is the same as self-pay rydes however at checkout the registered beneficiary clicks “Request Approval for Charitable Ryde” and the Executive Director of Provyde A Ryde 501(c)(3) will deny or approve the request, then use donations from either the Community Fund or a Donor’s Choice Fund to make the payment on MyRyde.app for the beneficiary.
